Sergi Roberto Carnicer

Sergi Roberto Carnicer is a Spanish right-back from Reus, whose right foot and versatility have also enabled him to play in midfield. He began at UE Barri Santes Creus and Gimnàstic de Tarragona before joining Barcelona’s La Masia academy in 2006. Roberto developed with Barcelona B from 2009 to 2013 and made his senior debut for Barcelona in 2010, becoming a regular first-team option from 2013–14. Under Luis Enrique, he increasingly operated at right-back while continuing to cover midfield and other roles. His defining Barcelona moment came in March 2017, when he scored the late goal that completed the 6–1 Champions League comeback against Paris Saint-Germain. He later captained Barcelona, ending an 18-year association with the club in 2024 before joining Como. Roberto has also represented Spain internationally and is listed with Los Angeles Galaxy.
