Salif Sané
Salif Sané is a Senegalese defender, born in Lormont, France, on 25 August 1990. He developed at Bordeaux and began his senior career with Nancy, progressing from the club’s reserve side to the first team. In 2013, Sané moved to Hannover 96, where he established himself in German football over five seasons. His versatility allowed him to operate at centre-back or in defensive midfield, combining his 1.96-metre frame with strong aerial work and defensive coverage. In July 2018, he joined FC Schalke 04 and continued to contribute as a physically imposing presence in the back line. Sané represented Senegal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, including the group-stage victory over Poland. Later records associate him with Libourne and SA Mérignac in France.
