Sølvi Vatnhamar
Sølvi Vatnhamar is a Faroese attacking midfielder who has spent most of his senior career with Víkingur Gøta. Born on 5 May 1986, he developed at LÍF Leirvík before joining Víkingur in 2008 after the merger that formed the club. At Víkingur, Vatnhamar has combined late runs and set-piece delivery with the ability to play wide or in central midfield. His club career includes three Faroese Premier League titles, won in 2016, 2017 and 2024, as well as five Faroese Cups and five Super Cups. In 2022, he scored 21 league goals in 26 matches, a career-high season. Vatnhamar has also represented the Faroe Islands in qualifying and Nations League campaigns. In the 2015 win over Greece, he assisted both Faroese goals, underlining his creative influence.
