Siebe Van der Heyden

Siebe Van der Heyden is a Belgian centre-back born in Denderleeuw on 30 May 1998. He developed in Anderlecht’s youth system before moving to KV Oostende, where he began pursuing senior football. In 2018, Van der Heyden joined FC Eindhoven in the Dutch second tier, gaining experience in a transition-focused competition. He returned to Belgium in 2019 with Union Saint-Gilloise, helping the club win promotion to the Belgian top flight. During Union’s outstanding 2021–22 campaign, he contributed to a side that led the league for much of the season and reached the Europa League. His performances earned him a Belgium call-up, and he made his international debut against Burkina Faso in March 2022. Mallorca signed Van der Heyden in summer 2023, while structured squad records now associate him with Gent, where the 185-centimetre defender continues his career.
