Stefano Turati

Stefano Turati is an Italian goalkeeper born in Milano on 5 September 2001. He developed in the Inter youth system before joining AC Renate in 2017, where he trained in a senior environment while remaining eligible for youth football. Sassuolo brought Turati into its Primavera setup in 2018, accelerating his progression toward the professional game. His breakthrough came on 1 December 2019, when an injury crisis involving Andrea Consigli and Gianluca Pegolo led to his senior debut away to Juventus. Turati made several important saves in a 2–2 draw, including a fingertip stop from a Cristiano Ronaldo free-kick, and his performance drew widespread attention. He later joined Reggina on loan for the 2021–22 season before moving to Frosinone, where he helped the club win promotion from Serie B in 2022–23 and then played in Serie A. After a 2024–25 loan spell at Monza, Turati returned to Sassuolo, continuing a career shaped by shot-stopping, penalty-area command and experience gained through successive loans.
