Efstratios Svarnas

Efstratios Svarnas is a Greek centre-back born in Athens on 11 November 1997. He developed with AEK Athens and was part of the club’s squad during the 2014/15 Football League campaign and its 2015/16 Greek Cup campaign. In 2016, Svarnas moved to Xanthi, where he gained top-flight experience before returning to AEK Athens in August 2018. During his second spell, he established himself in central defence and scored his first club goals against Panetolikos and OFI in 2020. Svarnas made his Greece debut against Slovenia in September 2020 and was later credited with six international caps. He joined Raków Częstochowa on loan in July 2022, then completed a permanent move in April 2023. With Raków, he helped win the 2022/23 Ekstraklasa title and Polish Super Cup, and remains with the club as a central defender.
