Sem Steijn

Sem Steijn is a Dutch midfielder born in The Hague on 12 November 2001. He began his development with SV KMD before joining ADO Den Haag’s academy in 2011. In 2018, Steijn made his professional breakthrough on loan at VVV-Venlo, becoming the club’s youngest Eredivisie debutant at the time. He later had a short spell with Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates before returning to ADO Den Haag. Steijn scored 15 goals in the 2021–22 Eerste Divisie season, helping establish him as an attacking midfielder with a strong eye for goal. He moved to FC Twente on a free transfer in summer 2022 and continued to develop as a mobile No. 10. In 2024–25, Steijn scored 24 Eredivisie goals, won the league’s top-scorer award and Player of the Year prize, then joined Feyenoord in 2025.
