Sambou Soumano attacks space and runs beyond the line, frequently pinning centre-backs when serving Lorient’s attacks. He pushed for more action. Sambou Soumano made his professional debut for FC Lorient in October 2021 against Bordeaux. He broke through on loan with Quevilly-Rouen in 23/24, scoring 12 goals, then returned to Lorient to net 14 in 24/25. In 25/26 he rejoined Lorient's first team, contributing 4 goals and 2 assists in 18 appearances by January 2026.
