Sheriff Sinyan

Sheriff Sinyan is a Gambian international centre-back born in Oslo, Norway, on 19 July 1996. He developed with Oppsal IF and Holmlia SK before joining Lillestrøm’s junior setup in 2014 and signing his first senior contract there in 2016. A serious knee injury then sidelined Sinyan for nearly two years, but he returned to senior football before moving to Molde in June 2020. At Molde, he operated primarily in central defence and also had experience as a defensive midfielder, helping the club win the 2021–22 Norwegian Cup and the 2022 Eliteserien title. Sinyan joined Slavia Prague in July 2023, returned to Norway with Odd in 2024, and moved to CFR Cluj in January 2025. Standing 1.88 metres, he contributes through aerial challenges, physical duels and straightforward defensive work. He made his Gambia debut in 2019.
