Silvan Eli Sidler

Silvan Eli Sidler is a Swiss defender born on 7 July 1998 in Affoltern am Albis. He developed with SC Steinhausen and Zug 94 before joining FC Luzern’s academy in 2012. Sidler made his professional debut in the Swiss Cup in August 2016 and reached the Super League in November 2017. At Luzern, he established himself primarily as a right-back while also covering the opposite flank and other defensive positions. He was part of the team that won the Swiss Cup during the 2020/21 season. In June 2022, Sidler moved to Germany to join Arminia Bielefeld in the 2. Bundesliga. He returned to Switzerland with FC Winterthur on a free transfer in summer 2023, continuing to provide defensive flexibility as a full-back or wing-back. Sidler has also represented Switzerland at under-21 level.
