Simen Rafn

Simen Rafn is a Norwegian defender born in Fredrikstad on 16 February 1992. He developed at Skogstrand IL before joining Fredrikstad FK’s academy at 15 and reaching the senior squad in 2010. During his first spell with Fredrikstad, he established himself as a full-back, making 136 league appearances before moving to Gefle IF in late 2015. A serious knee injury during Gefle’s 2016 pre-season kept him out for the year, after which he returned to Norway with Lillestrøm in 2017. At Lillestrøm, Rafn won the Norwegian Cup and later continued his career with Aalesund, playing in both the OBOS-ligaen and Eliteserien. He returned to Fredrikstad in January 2023, helped the club secure promotion, and then recovered from an ACL injury suffered that August. Rafn remains with Fredrikstad, where his experience and defensive versatility support the team in the Eliteserien.
