Simon Piesinger

Simon Piesinger is an Austrian defender born in Linz on May 13, 1992. He began at SK St. Magdalena before developing at Football Academy Linz and LASK. Piesinger then entered senior football with LASK Linz Juniors and Blau-Weiß Linz. His Bundesliga breakthrough came with FC Wacker Innsbruck in 2012, and he joined Sturm Graz in 2014. During the 2014/15 season, he scored nine goals in 32 appearances as a midfielder. After a spell at SCR Altach, Piesinger moved to Randers FC in 2019, where he increasingly played at center-back and helped win the Danish Cup in 2020/21, scoring in the 4-0 final victory. He returned to Austria with Wolfsberger AC in 2022, bringing a 1.96-metre frame and midfield experience to the defensive line.
