Born in Beograd, Sava Petrov developed at Partizan Belgrade and turned pro in 2016. He spent 2018–2021 at KVC Westerlo in Belgium, then moved to Olimpija Ljubljana, where he scored on debut. In 2024 he joined Vizela in Portugal before returning to Serbia, and by July 2025 he joined Železničar Pančevo, becoming a regular starter; he has represented Serbia at U18 and U19 levels. Sava Petrov attacks the back post and presses high, influencing team shape with centre-forward runs and aerial holds.
