Silas Ostrzinski

Silas Ostrzinski is a German goalkeeper born in Hagen on 19 November 2003. He began playing with SSV Mühlhausen-Uelzen and Spielvereinigung Hagen 1911 before joining Borussia Dortmund’s academy in 2018. Ostrzinski became first-choice goalkeeper for Dortmund’s under-17 side in 2019/20, a season ended early by the COVID-19 cancellation. He later belonged to the Dortmund team that won the U19 Bundesliga title in 2021/22. After being promoted to Dortmund II, he made his 3. Liga debut on 1 October 2022, starting in a 1–1 draw with TSV 1860 Munich. His development also brought a first nomination for Germany’s under-20 national team and inclusion in Dortmund’s senior squad for a Champions League match in Lisbon in November 2021. Standing 1.98 metres, Silas Ostrzinski signed a further Dortmund contract in 2025, extending his association with the club until June 2027.
