Svetozar Marković

Svetozar Marković is a Serbian defender born in Bijeljina on 23 March 2000. He developed at Radnik Bijeljina before joining the FK Partizan academy at 11 and making his senior debut for the Belgrade club in late 2017. His early breakthrough established him as a promising young centre-back, earning a 2019 move to Olympiakos Piraeus. With opportunities limited in Greece, Marković returned to Partizan on loan spells before making a permanent return in 2022. At Partizan, he became a regular defensive presence and later wore the captain’s armband, while contributing to build-up play with vertical passing. He subsequently joined Plzen in late 2024 and is currently listed with Slovan Bratislava. Primarily a centre-back, Marković can operate in a back four or three, relying on positioning, anticipation, timed challenges and aerial timing.
