Soungoutou Magassa

Soungoutou Magassa is a French midfielder born in Paris on 8 October 2003. He developed through local clubs including Sucy FC, RC Joinville, Lusitanos Saint-Maur and FC Gobelins before joining Monaco’s academy in 2018. Magassa signed his first professional contract in 2021 and captained Monaco’s reserve side in the fourth tier. He made his senior debut in January 2022, appearing in Monaco’s Coupe de France victory over Quevilly-Rouen. During the 2023–24 season, Soungoutou Magassa became a regular first-team player, while also showing his versatility by operating in defence. He later established himself as a defensive midfielder, combining ball recovery with progressive passing. Magassa represented France at the 2024 Olympic tournament and won a silver medal before joining West Ham, where he continues to provide midfield depth and tactical flexibility.
