Senne Maaike Lynen

Senne Maaike Lynen is a Belgian defensive midfielder born in Antwerp on 19 February 1999. He began his development at Borsbeek Sport and Royal Antwerp before continuing through KVC Westerlo and Lierse SK. Lynen completed his youth training at Club Brugge, then moved into senior football with Telstar in the Netherlands in 2018, initially on loan before making the move permanent. In July 2020, he joined Union Saint-Gilloise, where he helped the club secure promotion to the Belgian Pro League in the 2020–21 season. His 2022–23 campaign brought 53 appearances as Union reached the Europa League quarter-finals and Belgian Cup semi-finals. Lynen moved to Werder Bremen in August 2023 and has since featured in the Bundesliga as a holding midfielder. Standing 1.85 metres tall, Senne Lynen provides defensive cover and supports build-up play from the centre.
