Sebastiano Luperto

Sebastiano Luperto is an Italian defender who developed in the Lecce area before beginning his senior career with Lecce. He made his professional debut in the Coppa Italia in 2013, then joined Napoli that summer and made his Serie A debut against Milan in May 2015. Loan spells with Pro Vercelli and Empoli gave him regular senior football, and at Empoli in 2017–18 he helped the club secure promotion to Serie A. Back at Napoli, he appeared in domestic and European competition, making his Champions League debut in a 3–2 win at Salzburg in October 2019. Following a spell with Crotone, Luperto returned to Empoli in 2021, where he developed into a regular starter and captain. He later spent time with Cagliari before joining Cremonese, continuing a career built around central defensive work. At 1.91 metres, Luperto offers aerial presence and can also cover at left-back when required.
