Sandro Mike Lauper
Sandro Mike Lauper is a Swiss defensive midfielder born in Oberdiessbach on 25 October 1996. He developed in the BSC Young Boys system before moving to FC Luzern in 2015. At Luzern, Lauper established himself in senior Swiss football, playing as a holding midfielder who protected the defence and helped start attacks with his distribution. He returned to Young Boys in 2018, where he has remained a key part of the club’s squad. With Young Boys, Lauper has won five Swiss Super League titles and two Swiss Cups, while also featuring in UEFA Champions League and Europa League competition. Although registered as a defensive midfielder, he has increasingly been used at centre-back, giving his side an additional option in buildup. That positional versatility reflects a career shaped by tactical adaptation and a long association with Young Boys.
