Samuel Junior Kotto

Samuel Junior Kotto is a Cameroonian defender born on 3 September 2003. He developed at APEJES Academy in Mfou and was included in Cameroon’s under-20 selections in 2021. Kotto moved to Malmö FF in March 2022 after a trial, beginning his European career in Sweden. Malmö sent him on loan to BK Olympic, Landskrona BoIS and IFK Värnamo, where he gained senior experience and played in the Allsvenskan. He later joined Belgian club Gent in January 2025, continuing his progression as a centre-back. Kotto represented Cameroon at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and is listed with Reims, adding French football to a career built across three European countries.
