Stefanos Kapino

Stefanos Kapino is a Greek goalkeeper born in Piraeus in 1994. He developed at Panathinaikos, joining the club’s youth system in 2007 and reaching the senior side in 2011. Kapino made his first-team debut that year and quickly became one of Greece’s notable young goalkeeping prospects. In November 2011, he made his senior international debut against Romania, beginning an involvement with the national team. He moved to Mainz 05 in 2014, but made only two appearances before returning to Greece with Olympiakos Piraeus in 2015. At Olympiakos, he won the Greek Super League in 2015–16 and 2016–17. Kapino later continued his career in Germany with Werder Bremen and Arminia Bielefeld.
