Sebastien Uchechukwu Ibeagha

Sebastien Uchechukwu Ibeagha is an American defender born in Warri, Nigeria, on January 21, 1992. After moving to Houston, he developed with the Houston Dynamo Academy and was named its 2009 Player of the Year. He attended Duke University from 2010 to 2013, earning ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2012 and All-ACC recognition in each season. Ibeagha began his professional career with Danish club AC Horsens in 2013, later spending loan spells with FC Fredericia and Icelandic side Fram Reykjavík. After returning to the United States, he played for Rio Grande Valley FC, Rayo OKC and San Antonio FC, where he won USL Defender of the Year in 2017. He joined New York City FC in 2018 and later represented Los Angeles FC. Ibeagha won MLS Cups with NYCFC in 2021 and LAFC in 2022, and is currently listed with FC Dallas.
