Seán Hoare
Seán Hoare is an Irish football defender from Dublin, whose career has been built in the League of Ireland. He joined St Patrick’s Athletic’s under-19 setup in 2012 and later made his senior breakthrough with the club, helping them win the FAI Cup in 2014 and League Cups in 2015 and 2016. Hoare moved to Dundalk in late 2016, where he developed into a key central defender and won Premier Division titles in 2018 and 2019. He also lifted the FAI Cup with Dundalk in 2018 and 2020, scoring a late extra-time header in the 2020 final. In 2021, Hoare joined Shamrock Rovers and helped secure three successive Premier Division titles from 2021 to 2023. After four seasons there, he returned to St Patrick’s Athletic in 2025. Standing 1.89 metres tall, Hoare has been used at right-back and centre-back, offering aerial strength and defensive experience.
