Sveinn Margeir Hauksson

Sveinn Margeir Hauksson is an Icelandic footballer born on 2 November 2001. He developed in KA Akureyri’s youth system and spent 2019 on loan at Dalvík/Reynir, gaining senior experience before joining KA’s first team in 2020. Hauksson featured in KA’s 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying campaign, scoring twice in a 3–1 win over Dundalk in July. His domestic form also brought involvement with Iceland’s under-21 team during European Championship qualifying in 2022. In late 2024, he moved to the United States to play NCAA Division I football for UCLA, recording three goals and one assist in 17 games, including a goal in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. By early 2026, Hauksson had returned to Iceland and joined Vikingur Reykjavik, adding an international collegiate chapter to a career that began in Akureyri.
