Seko Mohamed Fofana

Seko Mohamed Fofana is a midfielder born in Paris, France, who represents Côte d’Ivoire. He began at Paris FC before joining FC Lorient in 2010 and moving to Manchester City in 2013, where he played in the development setup. Loans to Fulham and Bastia gave Fofana experience in the Championship and Ligue 1, respectively. He then joined Udinese in 2016, developing into a central midfielder over four seasons in Serie A. At Lens, from 2020 to 2023, Fofana captained the side during its rise to second place in Ligue 1 and won the 2022 Prix Marc-Vivien Foé. He moved to Al-Nassr in 2023 before returning to France with Rennes in January 2025. At international level, Fofana represented France in youth football before committing to Côte d’Ivoire in 2017 and helping the country win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
