Sinaly Diomandé

Sinaly Diomandé is an Ivorian defender born in Yopougon, Abidjan, on 9 April 2001. He developed at the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy in Abidjan before moving to Guidars FC in Mali. Olympique Lyonnais signed Diomandé in September 2019, initially placing him with the club’s reserve side. He progressed into the senior group and made his professional debut against Nîmes in September 2020. At Lyon, Diomandé gained Ligue 1 experience and was included in Champions League squads while establishing himself primarily as a central defender. In August 2024, he moved to Auxerre on a three-year contract in search of regular first-team opportunities. At Auxerre, he has continued to contribute from central defence, with the ability to cover at right-back. Diomandé’s game combines physical defending with composed passing and the confidence to carry the ball forward when opponents press.
