Souleymane Diarra

Souleymane Diarra is a Malian midfielder born in Bamako on 30 January 1995. He developed at the JMG Academy in Bamako and began his senior career with AS Bamako before moving to Hungary, where he represented Újpest. Diarra then joined RC Lens, initially on loan in 2017, and established himself as a central or defensive midfielder in Ligue 2. During the 2017–18 campaign, he recorded four goals and three assists in 29 league appearances for Lens, combining ball-winning with forward runs. He later played for Gaziantep FK in Turkey, followed by French spells with Pau FC and Guingamp. Diarra also featured for Mali’s under-20 side at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where the team finished third. He made his senior international debut in 2016 and later continued in France with Feignies-Aulnoye.
