Souleymane Diaby

Souleymane Diaby is an Ivorian football defender born on 8 October 1999 in Divo, Côte d’Ivoire. He began his senior development with Bingerville and had a brief spell at Denguélé in 2017 before spending the main part of his domestic career with SC Gagnoa from 2017 to 2021. Diaby also featured in Côte d’Ivoire’s under-17 and under-20 setups, reflecting his early progression through the national pathway. On 3 July 2021, he joined FC Winterthur in Switzerland. He helped Winterthur win the 2021–22 Swiss Challenge League and gain promotion to the Swiss Super League, contributing 26 appearances and four assists during that campaign. Diaby extended his Winterthur contract in July 2022 and has continued to develop as a defender in the Swiss top flight. He remains registered with FC Winterthur, where his consistency and defensive work have made him a regular presence.
