Sergiño Gianni Dest

Sergiño Gianni Dest is an American right-back born in Almere, Netherlands, on 3 November 2000. He developed at Almere City before joining Ajax’s academy at 12, where he moved from attacking roles into full-back. After 18 appearances for Jong Ajax, Dest broke into Ajax’s senior side and was named Ajax Talent of the Year in 2020. Barcelona signed him in 2020, and he became the first American to play for the club’s first team, later winning the Copa del Rey in 2021. A loan spell at AC Milan preceded his 2023 move to PSV Eindhoven, where the transfer was made permanent in June 2024. Dest has also represented the United States since choosing the USMNT over the Netherlands in 2019, contributing an assist against Iran at the 2022 World Cup. At PSV, he offers a right-footed, attack-minded option who can operate on either flank.
