Stéphane Edi Cueni

Stéphane Edi Cueni is a Swiss midfielder who developed in the Lausanne-Sport academy, progressing from the under-16 to under-21 levels between 2016 and 2021. He signed his first professional contract with Lausanne-Sport in January 2021 and made his senior debut against Basel the following month. In 2021–22, Cueni joined Stade Lausanne-Ouchy on loan, gaining regular experience in the Swiss Challenge League. He then moved to FC Wil, initially on loan in 2022 before the transfer became permanent in 2023. At Wil, he established himself in midfield and recorded 35 appearances and three assists during the 2023–24 campaign. Cueni returned to the Swiss Super League with FC Winterthur in January 2025. After representing Switzerland at under-19 and under-20 level, he switched allegiance to Cape Verde and debuted for the Blue Sharks against Malaysia in May 2025.
