Samuel Mark Byram

Samuel Mark Byram is an English left-back known for his early development at Leeds United and his ability to operate on either flank. Born in Thurrock, he joined the Leeds academy at 11 and progressed into the first team during the 2012–13 season. Initially used mainly as an attacking right-back or right winger, Byram made more than 130 appearances for Leeds before moving to West Ham United in January 2016. Injuries restricted his opportunities in London, and he joined Norwich City in 2019, later helping the club win the Championship title in 2021. After returning to Leeds on a free transfer in August 2023, he established himself primarily on the left, using his right foot in a more positionally disciplined role. Byram contributed 36 appearances to Leeds’ 2024–25 Championship-winning campaign, including a volley against Luton Town.
