Santiago Ignacio Bueno Sciutto

Santiago Ignacio Bueno Sciutto is a Uruguayan centre-back born in Montevideo on 9 November 1998. He developed at Peñarol before joining Barcelona in 2017, where he played for Barcelona B and spent loan time with Peralada. Bueno moved to Girona in 2019 and established himself in the club’s defence. He helped Girona secure promotion to La Liga in 2021–22, then featured regularly for the club in Spain’s top division. In August 2023, he transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers, continuing his career in the Premier League. Standing 190 cm tall, Bueno offers a strong aerial presence while contributing to build-up play from central defence. He has also represented Uruguay at youth level, including the team that won the 2017 South American Under-20 Championship, and remains associated with Uruguay and Wolves.
