Sebastian Jean-Baptiste Breza

Sebastian Jean-Baptiste Breza is a Canadian goalkeeper born in Ottawa on 15 March 1998. He began playing soccer at FS Salaberry at nine and initially featured as a striker before moving into goal. Breza moved to Italy as a teenager, developing through Monopoli and spending 2016–17 with Palermo’s Primavera side, where he received three Serie A bench call-ups. He later played for Potenza, helping the club win promotion from Serie D to Serie C, before joining Bologna in 2020. After loan spells with Carrarese and Yverdon Sport, Breza returned to Canada with CF Montréal, initially on loan in 2021 and permanently from January 2024. His 2021 campaign included a Canadian Championship triumph over Toronto FC, with Breza receiving the George Gross Memorial Trophy as the tournament’s most valuable player.
