Sacha Boey

Sacha Boey is a French right-back born in Montreuil-sous-Bois on 13 September 2000. He developed at FC Romainville and Red Star before joining Rennes’ academy in 2014. Boey made his Ligue 1 debut for Rennes in May 2019 and was part of the squad that won the Coupe de France that year. A loan to Dijon during 2020–21 brought 24 league appearances and gave him regular top-flight experience. In July 2021, he moved to Galatasaray, where his pace, recovery runs and one-on-one defending helped him become a key player. He contributed to Galatasaray’s 2022–23 Süper Lig title and impressed against Bayern in the 2023–24 Champions League group stage. Bayern München signed Boey in January 2024, adding a Bundesliga chapter to a career that had already taken him from French development football to a leading Turkish side. He has represented France at under-17, under-18 and under-20 level.
