Steven-Andreas Benda

Steven-Andreas Benda is a German goalkeeper, born in Stuttgart on 1 October 1998, who stands 1.92 metres tall. He developed in the youth systems of VfB Stuttgart, Stuttgarter Kickers, 1. FC Heidenheim and TSV 1860 Munich before moving to Swansea City in 2017. Benda gained senior experience on loan at Swindon Town during the 2019–20 season, making 27 appearances as the club won the League Two title. He later spent time with Peterborough United and established himself at Swansea, featuring regularly during the 2022–23 campaign before a serious knee injury interrupted his progress. Fulham signed Benda in 2023, and he subsequently took on Championship experience with Millwall, where his distribution and shot-stopping were prominent parts of his game. As a tall, ball-playing goalkeeper, Benda looks to build attacks with short and mid-range passing while using his reach to deal with crosses. He is now listed with Nottingham Forest, adding a chapter to a career shaped by development in Germany and senior football in England.
