Samson Baidoo

Samson Baidoo is an Austrian defender born in Graz on 31 March 2004. He developed in the Red Bull Academy after entering its system in 2018. Baidoo made his professional debut for FC Liefering in July 2021, gaining experience in Salzburg’s pathway. He joined the Red Bull Salzburg first-team squad for the 2022–23 season and featured more prominently during the following campaign. His senior Austria debut came against Belgium in October 2023, and he has also been involved with Austria Under-21s. Baidoo moved to Lens in July 2025, beginning a new chapter in Ligue 1. At 190 centimetres, Samson Baidoo brings size to the centre-back role while contributing to build-up play and stepping forward to contest duels. At Lens, he has featured in a back-three system as his adaptation continues.
