Sondre Auklend

Sondre Auklend is a Norwegian attacking midfielder who plays primarily in central areas and uses his right foot. Born in 2003, he began developing at Vidar in Stavanger before joining Viking at the age of 11. Auklend signed his first professional contract with Viking on 1 August 2018 and made his senior debut on 16 June 2020 against Bodø/Glimt. Seeking regular playing time, he later spent loan spells with First Division clubs Åsane and Jerv, with the latter helping him show his box-to-box qualities. In August 2024, Auklend moved from Viking to Bodø/Glimt, adding a new stage to his progression with the Norwegian champions. At Bodø/Glimt, Sondre Auklend has been used as an energetic midfielder who can carry the ball forward, combine in tight spaces and contribute to pressing, while his development has also included involvement with Norway’s youth teams.
