Sultanbek Astanov

Sultanbek Astanov is a Kazakhstan midfielder. Born in Shymkent on March 23, 1999, he developed at Football OSDYuShOR Shymkent before joining Ordabasy’s youth system in 2016. In 2018, Astanov moved to Kairat Almaty and played for its reserve side, Kairat Zhastar, making 32 appearances and scoring seven goals between 2018 and 2019. He reached Kairat’s first team and helped the club win the Kazakhstan Premier League in 2020, recording 52 senior appearances from 2019 to 2023. A loan return to Ordabasy in 2021 brought eight appearances and one goal, followed by a permanent move in March 2023. At Ordabasy, Astanov has surpassed 50 appearances and featured in domestic and European qualifying matches. After representing Kazakhstan at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, he made his senior debut against Tajikistan in November 2021 and has continued to receive national-team selections.
