Sofyan Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat is a Morocco international defensive midfielder born in Huizen, Netherlands, on 21 August 1996. He developed in the Netherlands and broke into senior football with Utrecht before joining Feyenoord. At Feyenoord, Amrabat won the KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield. He then moved to Club Brugge and continued his development in Italy after joining Verona, initially on loan, before making the move permanent to Fiorentina. His performances in Serie A established him as a composed ball-winner who can protect the defence and help build play from deep. Amrabat became a central figure for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, helping the team reach the semi-finals. He later joined Manchester United on loan, winning the FA Cup, and subsequently moved to Fenerbahçe, adding English and Turkish chapters to his club career.
