Skelly Alvero

Skelly Alvero is a French midfielder born in Stains on 2 May 2002. He began his football development with Red Star before joining Sochaux in 2017. After progressing through Sochaux’s reserve sides, Alvero made his senior debut in the Coupe de France in November 2021 and signed his first professional contract the following February. His breakthrough came in the 2022–23 season, when he made 33 appearances for Sochaux in Ligue 2. Lyon signed the midfielder in July 2023, and he scored his first Ligue 1 goal against Metz on 5 November that year. Alvero moved to Werder Bremen on loan in January 2024 before the Bundesliga club made the transfer permanent that June. At 2.02 metres, he offers a distinctive physical presence while contributing as a central defensive midfielder.
