Rui Tiago Dantas da Silva

Rui Silva is a Portuguese goalkeeper whose 1.91-metre frame and left-footed distribution have shaped a career across Portugal and Spain. Born in Maia on 7 February 1994, Rui Silva joined Nacional in 2012 and made his professional debut in a Taça da Liga match against Leixões in January 2014. He developed into Nacional’s first-choice goalkeeper before moving to Granada CF in January 2017. Initially serving as a deputy, he became a regular under Diego Martínez and helped Granada win promotion to La Liga in 2018–19, earning the Ricardo Zamora Trophy in the second tier. Granada also reached the Europa League quarter-finals in 2020–21, their first European campaign. Rui Silva joined Real Betis in 2021, shared goalkeeping duties with Claudio Bravo and was part of the squad that won the Copa del Rey in 2022. He returned to Portugal with Sporting CP in 2025 and is also part of the Portugal setup.
