Roald Mitchell
Roald Mitchell is an American forward who can lead the line or operate from the right wing. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, he developed in the New York Red Bulls Academy from 2018 to 2021. Mitchell joined New York Red Bulls II’s preseason roster in March 2021 and scored his first professional goal in his first start, against the Charleston Battery, that May. He then spent three seasons at Wake Forest, recording 19 goals and nine assists in 56 matches. The forward became one of only six players in program history with multiple career hat tricks and earned All-ACC Second-Team honors in 2022 and 2023. On January 14, 2024, he signed a three-year Homegrown contract with the New York Red Bulls and made his MLS debut against Nashville SC. Mitchell made his senior international debut for Trinidad and Tobago against Jamaica in November 2024.
