Renato Júnior Luz Sanches
Renato Sanches is a Portuguese midfielder who developed at Benfica after beginning at Águias da Musgueira. He made his Benfica first-team debut in October 2015, helping the club win the domestic double during the 2015–16 season. His energetic performances earned him a move to Bayern München in 2016, where he competed in a midfield featuring Xabi Alonso and Thiago Alcântara. After a loan at Swansea City, Sanches joined Lille in 2019. He became an important contributor as Lille won the 2020–21 Ligue 1 title. In 2022, Renato Sanches transferred to Paris Saint-Germain and later spent time on loan at AS Roma. Internationally, he represented Portugal at UEFA Euro 2016, scoring against Poland in the quarter-final and winning the tournament.
