Reinildo Isnard Mandava

Reinildo Isnard Mandava is a Mozambican left-back born in Beira on 21 January 1994. He began his senior development with Ferroviário da Beira and GD Maputo before moving to Portugal, where he joined Benfica and played for Benfica B, with loan spells at AD Fafe and Sporting da Covilhã. After a permanent move to Belenenses SAD in 2018, Reinildo joined Lille on loan in January 2019 and later established himself in France. He helped Lille win the 2020–21 Ligue 1 title and the 2021 French Super Cup, building a reputation for disciplined one-on-one defending. Atlético Madrid signed him in January 2022, where he operated at left-back and sometimes as a left-sided centre-back. An ACL injury suffered against Real Madrid in February 2023 interrupted his Atlético spell. In July 2025, Reinildo joined Sunderland, adding Premier League football to a career that also includes international service with Mozambique.
