Reece Belfield Welch
Reece Belfield Welch is an English centre-back developed by Everton after joining the club’s academy at seven. He scored on his Everton Under-18 debut against Derby County during the 2018–19 season. Welch signed his first professional contract in September 2020 and trained with Everton’s senior squad the following year. He made his first-team debut as a substitute in the 2–0 FA Cup win over Boreham Wood in March 2022, then made his first start against Fleetwood Town in the League Cup that August. In 2023–24, Welch joined Forest Green Rovers on loan, making 23 appearances before returning to Everton in January 2024. He moved to Belgian side KMSK Deinze in September 2024, but the club’s collapse ended the spell prematurely. Welch has represented England from under-16 to under-20 level.
