Ryan Strain

Ryan Strain is an Australian midfielder born in Coventry, England, on 2 April 1997. He developed in Aston Villa’s youth system before moving to Australia, joining Modbury Jets and then Adelaide United. Adelaide promoted Strain to its senior setup in 2017, and he spent four seasons with the club, helping win Australia Cup titles in 2018 and 2019. In 2021, he moved to Maccabi Haifa, where he won the Israeli Premier League and Super Cup. Strain joined St Mirren in July 2022 and produced his most productive Scottish spell, contributing five goals and 10 assists across two seasons while helping the club reach the top six. He made his first international start for Australia against England at Wembley in October 2023. Strain later continued in Scotland with Dundee United and is currently associated with Falkirk.
