Rob Schoofs

Rob Schoofs is a Belgian midfielder born on 23 March 1994 in Herk-de-Stad. He developed at Sint-Truidense VV (STVV), progressing through the academy before making his professional debut and helping the club win the Belgian Second Division in 2014–15. After joining Gent in 2016, Schoofs moved to KV Mechelen in summer 2017. At Mechelen, he became captain and a central figure in the club’s 2018–19 double, when it won the Belgian Cup and promotion as First Division B champions. He also helped Mechelen return to the top flight and remained a prominent midfielder across eight seasons. In September 2025, he signed for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, taking his experience to a side competing at Belgium’s highest level and in Europe. At Union, Schoofs continues to operate centrally, contributing through passing, chance creation and set-piece delivery.
