Rauno Sappinen

Rauno Sappinen is an Estonian centre-forward born in Tallinn on 23 January 1996. He developed at Flora Tallinn from the age of nine and made his Meistriliiga debut in March 2013. Sappinen became Flora’s leading scorer for three consecutive seasons from 2015 to 2017, winning the Estonian Young Footballer of the Year award and his first league title in 2015. In 2017, he led the league with 27 goals and was named Meistriliiga Player of the Year. After loan spells abroad, including with Beerschot Wilrijk, he returned to Flora and helped the club reach the 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League group stage. Sappinen later played in Poland before joining Hapoel Jerusalem in 2023, then returned to Flora in 2024. He also represents Estonia, combining penalty-area movement and finishing with a willingness to press.
