Raphael Lukas Sallinger

Raphael Lukas Sallinger is an Austrian goalkeeper born in Klagenfurt on 8 December 1995. He began his development with FC Kärnten in 2001, later continuing at FC Welzenegg. In January 2013, Sallinger moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern, where he gained reserve-team experience and made his Austria Under-20 debut in 2015. He returned to Carinthia with Wolfsberger AC in 2016, making his Austrian Bundesliga debut against SV Mattersburg on 29 April 2017. Sallinger joined TSV Hartberg in 2018, initially working as a backup before establishing himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper in 2022–23. He made 20 league appearances that season and 34 in 2023–24, marking his rise to a regular starter. In 2024–25, Sallinger helped Hartberg reach its first-ever Austrian Cup final, where they lost 1–0 to Wolfsberger AC. At 1.96m, he brings a strong physical presence to goal, while his long distribution has been noted as part of his game, and he joined Hibernian in July 2025.
