Ryan Raposo

Ryan Raposo is a Canadian left midfielder from Hamilton, Ontario, who is also capable of operating as a wingback. He developed with Mount Hamilton SC, Toronto FC Academy, Burlington Youth SC and Vaughan SC before captaining Team Ontario to gold at the 2017 Canada Summer Games, where he was named MVP. Raposo then spent two seasons at Syracuse University, earning All-ACC First Team recognition in 2019 after setting school sophomore records for goals and points. Vancouver Whitecaps selected him fourth overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, beginning a professional spell that ran from 2020 to 2024. With Vancouver, he broadened his game from an attacking role into a position requiring defensive tracking and recovery. He helped the Whitecaps win the 2022 Canadian Championship and received the Best Young Canadian Player award that year. Raposo later joined Los Angeles FC and remains listed with the club, while also appearing in Canada’s U23 setup.
